Biography

Writer. Quilter. Gardener. I grew up amidst the lakes, farm fields, and dairy cows of Wisconsin. Not having the internet in those days, we ran around barefoot climbing trees, riding bikes, exploring the wooded countryside. I helped my mom tend the vegetable garden and my love of gardening has never waned. I was a good student and eventually attended Marquette University where I met my fearless husband, Thao. My faith, writing, quilting, and gardening helped me through turbulent years, adjusting to life with a mental health disorder. After many years of struggle, my symptoms subsided. I am now able to take pleasure in my family and the beauty of the Pacific Northwest where we reside. Writing children’s books gives me an opportunity to share with others the joy in life I now experience and previously took for granted.
